Austin singer-songwriter Ryan Layden blends modern Folk music with emotive/tremolo vocals and songwriting to create an immersive one-man acoustic experience. Although his vocal abilities could be compared to the likes of Jeff Buckley he offers something distinctive in this small pool of virtuoso acoustic guitarist-singers. The sole purpose of all Ryan’s compositions and arrangements is to emulate them live and with relative emotion to his listeners. He does this with just one acoustic guitar and sometimes a vocal harmony pedal, without the use of a loop pedal.
Growing up in Wichita, Ks Ryan was musical from an early age; starting on the piano at age five, and then moving on to guitar and singing at eight. Ryan’s family is no stranger to music. His father was a musical prodigy at the age of 13. At 17 Ryan made the decision to be a professional singer-songwriter and has never looked back.
In the past 10 years, Ryan has released 5 albums and has a discography of over 100 songs professionally recorded in Austin and Nashville. His vision for the future is to inspire all people to believe in their dreams and accept nothing less for their life.
